OBS Tutorial

OBS Tutorial is a special mode in Animo application that allows you to present yourself as an avatar on online meetings. It this mode entire UI is hidden so it doesn't interfere your screen share. Remember! to exit the Meeting Mode you need to tap and hold the screen for 3 seconds!

It works in combination with software like OBS, that is able to mirror your iPhone screen and then acts like a virtual web camera that you can use in online meeting applications.

Here are five steps you need to follow in order to make it work:

1. Download the OBS Software

OBS is an Open Broadcast Software that allows you to create virtual camera accessible by remote meeting apps like Zoom or Google Meets.

Head to OBS website and download a version appropriate to your operating system.

2. Plug your iPhone to your computer using USB cable

We are going to mirro your iPhone screen into the OBS installed on your computer. To do it you need to connect your iPhone over the cable to your Mac or PC. Port doesn't matter.

3. Add new video capture device

Now we are going to add your iPhone screen into the OBS Scene. Open OBS software that you have installed in Step 1.

Click on + icon under Sources section, and add Video Capture Device. You will be prompted to select a device. Use the dropdown menu to select your iPhone. ​

When you click this point you should be able to see your phone screen on the OBS scene. ​

* If you are using WINDOWS you may need some additional software like U3 (http://3u.com/) to mirror iPhone screen into OBS.

4. Adjust the preview in OBS

Now, it's time to configure your OBS scene. Use handles to resize the iPhone view to fill the screen.

You should also switch Animo to Screen Cast mode to hide camera UI. Rotate the phone horizontally to make it look better.

5. Enable Virtual Camera

OBS allows you to create virtual camera that is visible in meeting software like Zoom or Google Meet. Click on the "Start Virtual Camera" button.

OBS will appear as an additional web camera device in any of the online meeting tools. and will stream a screen of your iPhone.
